The Sculpture Trail will be created at the Park in the form of public demonstrations between May 24th 2014 – June 1st 2014 and will consist of 5 sculptures, one of which could be designed by you!
If you would like the opportunity to design a Chainsaw Sculpture which will feature at the Park, alongside 4 other sculptures, then why not enter our free competition which is open to all age groups.
Research the history, wildlife or natural environment surrounding Barton’s Point to come up with ideas for your design, complete the entry form and send it to The Boathouse Cafe, Barton’s Point Coastal Park, Marine Parade, Sheerness, Kent ME12 2BX. It’s as simple as that!
Closing Date for all applications is Midday 14th April.
The winner will be announced at the Annual Water Sports Open Day held at Barton’s Point Coastal Park on April 21st 2014.

Unfortunately – due to recent bad weather and exceptional quantities of rainfall – we are unable to offer all facilities at the Park resulting in the temporary midweek closure of the Boathouse Cafe. Our annual ‘Water Sports Open Day’ is held at the start of every summer season and provides opportunities for people to ‘come and have a go’ at Rowing, Sailing, Kayaking, Windsurfing and Paddle Boarding. Local clubs and organisations are available to give demo’s, offer advice on any of the sports which take your fancy, as well as talk about membership, group bookings, or one-to-one lessons.
